Kenny McPeek

Kenny was raised in Lexington, Kentucky and discovered his love of horses early in life. After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Business Finance, he followed his heart and, after his start with fellow Lexingtonian “Shug” McGaughey, he obtained his trainer’s license in 1985.  He now manages his own 160-horse stable, and has a proven eye for an athlete, selecting “diamonds in the rough” at yearling and 2-year-old in training sales in the U.S. and around the world. His selections like Curlin, Einstein (BRZ), Repent, Take Charge Lady and Tejano Run, to name just a few, have earned him the respect of fellow horsemen.

Sue McPeek

Sue Lustig McPeek grew up in a career military family and traveled the country before graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in Wildlife Biology. Her love for horses drew her to the racing industry, where she has worked at both the farm and the racetrack divisions for Lane's End Farm, as a professional showman at the sales for Three Chimney’s Farm, and as a respected freelance equine photographer. Sue played a supporting role in McPeek Racing for years, and she is currently licensed to sell equine insurance, so it is easy to say that Sue has worn many hats and knows the racing industry well.

McPeek Racing’s success has had a lot of do with Kenny’s talent for finding and developing young horses, his straightforward approach to working with horse owners, and his communication with all the major players in the Thoroughbred racing industry. McPeek has won over 120 stakes in his career so far, with over 50 of them graded, and has trained over 1,200 winners and counting - earning over $50 million in purses.

Giving back to the industry and the fans means a lot to both Sue and Kenny and their passion for horse racing has sparked an idea which is now a reality.  Interested in bringing new fans to racing and recognizing the entertainment value, they have designed and created a unique mobile app specifically with the horse racing fan in mind.

This mobile app is a product of their creativity and the collaborative efforts and cooperation from many leading industry organizations. This is the APP that gives back.  A portion of any income derived will be returned to the racetracks and horsemen through purse supplements.
